World History Blog

History oriented blogs provide another forum for discussion, albeit one that is focused around the individual blogger’s particular interests and opinions. The World History Blog is a wide-ranging survey of historical news, book reviews, and articles covering a number of nations and topics. Under British History, for example, is a review of a book about sexual politics among European royalty, a story about a French politician who sought political union between France and Britain in 1956, and a notice about the digitization of the Old Bailey’s archives. There’s little consistency in the topics chosen for posting but that eclecticism is part of the attraction. You can always find an interesting or even surprising historical tidbit. For someone who needed to find information about a particular subject there’s always the search function.
